So cold I cover up everything..
I have like 5 layers on haha
This Friday I hit 6 months! 1/4 down it's been an amazing experience, and I truly would not trade one day! Even the hard ones. I've love my mission so much, and I can't believe how fast it is going by... This week was cold but great! It seems like that the snow followed me out to Tennessee! It's awful out side! But it reminds me of home which I like! We were able to set 2 dates with Erica lynn and her Mom!! We are so excited! It was an awesome day! We taught her about authority and how after Baptism you have to have the laying on of hands to receive the Holy Ghost! The lesson was going rad so I asked her to be baptized, and she accept the invite for the 15th of Feb!! But Lebanon has gotten so much better this transfer! I'm starting to like it a lot! It's different, but the work is really pick up, and I hope to keep that happening in this next transfer! Soo on Saturday we were helping this dude move; when we got the call from president! He asked me I if I would train a new missionary!! So I'm a trainer!! I'm so excited and nervous!! I get to meet my greeny at transfers tomorrow!! It will be an awesome experience to train a missionary! I'm so honored that the lord has picked me to help him train one of his servants! It will be so awesome! I hope! Another cool part of transfers is that Watertown is getting missionaries which will be awesome!! Elders too! So now I won't be surrounded by Sisters! But life is so good! This week should be great. Thanks for the support! I couldn't have made it this far without it! Love y'all Elder Tyler James

After Ingrown Toe Surgery
Hay for days

I love my jimmy johns notice the giant toe haha

Watertown, TN
Last week of the transfer! They fly by now! I'm basically 6 months now! 1/4th done! That is unreal for me! My toe surgery went great! It feels a lot better now! I'm grateful that I had such a great doctor, and how good it all went! We had zone conference this week it was good! There always a good spiritual re boost for me! They motivate you to get to  work and have fun! We talked a lot about teaching simple and for understanding which is so hard but yet so easy! It was a good meeting! Lebanon is picking up which is awesome! We have a pretty good teach pool here and out in some of the other areas so that is pretty cool! Our biggest miracle right now is this girl named Erica she is awesome! We had been sort of kind of teaching her mother but we learned that she was interested, and she loves church and she has friends and it's just going great! She works a lot but she asked off for Sundays which is so rad! But we are finding still, and working hard, and our planners are filling up which is great! It's still a working project here, but so much better! My Facebook missionary is really picking up which is awesome! I teaching lots of people around the world it's crazy how people just friend you and want to talk. It's pretty cool. Some of Jaros side of the family are liking all my post and everything it's pretty cool! And I also teach RJ wife Tiffany from my last area, and she is getting baptized next month!! So that is cool! But life is good here in the home of Cracker Barrell! Love Ty

trains

I love the huge houses of the south!! They are so old and cool. The lady who lives in this house is pretty rad.

Downtown Lebanon
I'm almost 6 months isn't that scary! This week was good! I got a much needed Vacation to a different area on exchanges with the zone lords!! It was so nice to relax and not have to worry about anything up there in there area!! I needed it. I met some awesome people up there. A super cool British lady who is being baptized pretty soon, and she has such a strong testimony already which is really cool to see. But it was just a great few days! We had a Zone meeting on Wednesday which was really awesome. One of the STL trained on Testimony, and baring your testimony really from your heart. It was what I needed. Because as a Missionary you are always saying I Know the church is true etc. but it gets old. So I had been thinking a lot about how could I improve that and I got my answer. The sister talked about testifying from our hearts, and trying not to say I know so much. Saying I know is great but being to able to really testify from the heart is just special. We role played it and it was way spiritual an awesome. It was a great meeting, and this week we have Zone Conference so we will be blessed again by great trainings. Yesterday we had two investigators at church!!! It was so awesome!! We teach there mom sort of, but we invited them all out to church, and her daughter and her boyfriend came! It was so nice. They loved it and super cool to have people at church again. But I'm doing great and I do have my toe surgery today so it will most likely be a long week.. but with the lord I can get by! Love you all Ty Guy

The district
The wall of fame
The snow storm
The car after the tree
The cedar tree
Well 2014 is here now! Plus I've been out for 5 months now! Well this week was really long until yesterday.. Tuesday it was super cold and we had to be at 6 that night for safety; The next day was all day p day with our zone and it was pretty rad!! We got to watch a movie which was wired... but nice to take a little break from all the stress and missionary work for a day. But we just weren't having any success here for 3 days it was rough.. So on Sunday we decided to head on down to this little town called Watertown and it was awesome!! We met some awesome less actives and it was great day, and I really think Watertown needs missionaries. The people there are just so awesome!! We met some really cool farmers and it reminded me so much of Minersville it was scary, and it's really pretty down there! But on the way back to Lebanon the weather turned sour. We got back to our apartment and were eating some dinner when we got a call from this member somewhere in Tennessee, and he was telling us of his friend who's heat was going to go out that night and that she was going to freeze. It's super cold out here right now. So he asked us if we could go help her out so we did. We had an a member with us and he's 18 still in high school. He drove us out there and the rain was really coming down. Plus the temp dropped from 50 down to 25 in like 20 minutes. We got to the appointment and had a great lesson. The best one sense I've been here in Lebanon. She was so excited for the book of Mormon. She has a little 8 year girl or so. We told her we would go get some gas so she could have heat for the next day. As we were heading back to town Adam was driving WAY  to fast. I told him so slow down. The road's were icy now, and it was a whiteout. We hit patch of black ice and lost control. We turned complete around twice and then hit a tree pretty hard. The car was totaled and Adam was a little beat up. It was so scary. As Carrie Underwood said Jesus take the Wheel. I know that God protected us from rolling. I remember looking across the back seat think we are going to roll. My Life flashed before my eyes... It's so awful. Adam had a broke nose. I'm perfectly fine. So is my comp. Josh and Zack (our investigator) came out there and pick us up. It was so awful. It was way cold. I know that the lord protects us so much as missionaries, and just as normal people. It was scary, but i'm so grateful to be okay. Heavenly father is so good to me. My comp lost the car keys at some point over the crash... so i couldn't get to the toe doctor yet. But I'm okay. Thank you everyone for every thing. I love you all. Elder Ty
