Painting Project

Elders at the Nashville Temple

Nashville Temple

Welp this week was so great!! We did lots of service and didn't do much teaching, but it was a great week! Were painting our neighbors house who are like my second parents they check on us all the time, but they are not interested about the church at all, but they are great people, but painting is a bigger project than it sounds like! It took a week because we could only put a hour or two into each day! This week we got to get into the temple!!! I have miss the temple so much! It was great to be in there, and feel of that sweet spirit which is in the temple. I love it! Thursday was crazy because of the tornado's across Tennessee! The weather was so strange! The air just feels different when a big storm is coming, and it did that night at 8! We rushed on home, but the wind and rain were crazy! Plus lighting! But it was really scary! Then Saturday we had ERICA LYNN BAPTISM!! It was so awesome!! She loves the church, and the young woman program which is rad to see! The baptism was crazy because of when we showed up to the church to get to fill up the font the churches water was shut off!! So we were all freaking out... So after two hours we figured it out, but everyone that showed up just chilled and it was nice, but satan really tired to stop her baptism! I confirmed her yesterday, and I was super nervous! But I think I did good! Tiffany RJ's wife from Cookeville was baptized on Saturday too!! But I would also like to thank everyone for the birthday cards and such you all are awesome! Love ya Ty

Erica Lynn baptism is this week which will be so rad! We are way stoked!! There also was a mail bomb in Lebanon last week so were slow to open all our mail because we were scared!! haha but the dude who did it is in jail now! But still scary!! But thank you for everything! High of 8 and low of 1 in Tennessee, Way Too Cold
Me and Rumsey about to go freeze our butts off haha
Here we go! Time is flying by now! My mission has been a blast so far! I love it! We had a cold and wet but a good week! Found some new potentials who are pretty awesome, and we have a lot of hope for them! Amanda and Erica are doing awesome, and they are inviting all there friends to hear of the gospel they are awesome missionaries there self's! Erica's baptism will be on the 22nd! They are still awesome! We taught them lesson two this week and the laws which was great! They are progressing super well! We get Ipads on the 27th which will be rad! I'm excited for them, but they will have lots of rules most likely but who cares but it will be cool! So every Saturday we play basketball with these non members in the morning, and it's so awesome we invite lots of kids, and then teach or try to teach them something we have like 10 non-members who show up usually so that's cool. But hopefully something will rub of on them! They are all still in high school and stuff! Me and Elder Rumsey have given so many blessing of late. I've really been thinking about the priesthood, and the power we have. What a great calling it is to have the priesthood, and it always brings in the spirit so much into our life, I love it. But i'm doing rad. Thanks for everything!

The sunset was amazing.. but not in the picture
6 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tennessee is so freezing. This river is frozen over.
Transfers Elder Rumsey
I have past the 6 month mark!! The first quarter of my mission is over! It's been the most amazing experience of my life! It goes by way fast, but yet some days it seems like your praying for 9 to come faster! But I hope the lord can continue to change me as this process of the next 18 months continues. I feel that my testimony has grown so much over such a short time. I have had to learn to that I must turn to the lord at all times which is such a blessing. Training a new missionary! It's pretty rad calling. A hard one but awesome! My trainee is Elder Rumsey! He's a farm boy from Idaho! He's really humble, and has an awesome testimony of the gospel. I'm learning so much from teaching him. It's so awesome! We had a special hasting the work thing for the southern states only on Friday night!! It was awesome! Elder Perry talked about it and really pumped up the wards to do missionary work I think! It was a great meeting over all. He is so funny! Amanda our investigator is doing awesome her faith is really growing! She has lupus which is way sad so we take everything really slow, but it's a blessing to watch her progress! Life is all good! I'm doing great! Love Ty
