Spring in Tennessee

Us and Sister Andersen after MLC
March is gone unreal................... Last week was one of most solid weeks on my mission. We had some killer lesson. Lessons that just helped the investigator moved forward. It was truly great! Don's baptism is set in stone for the 18th! His family has the tickets, and everything! It is awesome!!!! We are so excited for him! He was a church yesterday as well! We also had a great few lessons with Timothy. He's great. His family really loves us now which was key. He said the most humble prayer with us asking God to tell him if the Book of Mormon is the word of God. It was great! He's been through a lot more than I've ever even thought of, but truly a champ. We had a great lesson about God love for us and our need for the Book of Mormon with this Investigator Maragret. It was awesome! Probably one of my favorite lesson, of my mission thus far. She is hard to catch, but she is truly humble lady prepared for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Also we found a few new investigators who seem to me to be super promising. The work is going so well. I'm exhausted because we are always go go go. Which is what I love. We had MLC again next week. We we're taught by the local 70 who watches over our mission. He's awesome. Our mission is doing well, but he talked a lot about the Atonement and the resurrection. Truly an amazing lesson he taught us all. Then we watched and focused on the #becausehelives video and pass along cards, and he asked a few questions: What can you offer Him? How can you become more like him? I loved these questions, and I've been think about them lots. The mission has taught me lots, but I think the biggest thing it's taught me is that the atonement is real, and that I'm truly loved by my Heaven Father. The gospel is amazing. Thanks for everything Love ya'll. Elder Ty

Family, life is so rad. No complaints!! We had another solid week! We saw some awesome miracles again this week! The zone is still doing awesome as well. We had Don at church yesterday, but we didn't get to meet with him this week, because he was driving all over the place looking for a new job, and going to interviews and such! He went down to Cookeville (my first area). He's doing well! Still looking good for that weekend in April! The biggest miracle this week was that we found this super funny kid to teach! His name is Timothy, and we met with him twice last week! He also came to church! Which was rad. The ward loves when you have investigators at church! Probably the biggest ward trust thing to get people to church. We taught Kerry again this week, and he took another baby step and prayed!!!!!!! This was huge. He had never prayed in his life, and he said when he prayed he could help but smile, and he felt good! So rock on for him. It's been slow with him, but good. Also we received an awesome Spanish MEMBER Referral. She is a cleaning lady of this members million dollar home, and she is just great. Super good lesson. The best news is that i'm stay here in Franklin! So this will be my longest area! 5 transfers, and I'll be here until May! Wow! It will be rad. I love Franklin. The goal this transfer is to get more member referrals, and keep up the hard work. We are going to have a meet the mormons night here in Franklin to invite non members to watch movie which should be rad! Thanks so much for everything! Life is great! Love ya'll! Elder Jaros

Last week was truly the best week of my life! We had so much success, and so many miracles!! It was awesome!! To start off Monday night we had a killer night. We taught 3 solid lesson, and we had members at one of them! Just a great P-Day night to start the week of with it. Than Tuesday was finally MLC! It was snowed out 3 times! Unreal, but it was such an amazing meeting. The big push in the mission is member presents and teaching the atonement. The meeting was centered around a question: How do I apply the atonement? Which was great. Over the past few months I've learned so much about the atonement, and how real it is. It's truly amazing how the atonement can change us a missionaries so much, but its really truly amazing how it changes the people we love in Tennessee. Just a great meeting. We also received our new Ipads. They are basically the same. Than Tuesday night we had another meeting with our Stake President and we were correlating about the stake/zone. It was great. Probably the best one we've had here! The Stake/Zone is doing so well. The Franklin Stake has changed so much in the past 6 months. It's been amazing to watch. That night we had a great lesson with Don. It was one of the best we've every had with him. We talked about gaining a testimony of prophet Joseph Smith. On Wednesday we had Zone Meeting, and I do have to say it was probably the best Zone Meeting I've had as a Zone Leader. I training on finding and having faith as we find. Simple topic. We also had to give our Zone new ipads which was fun, and the zone was pumped because of the March Madness tournament! It's been a fun game to play! Rest of the week I was in Linden on Exchanges with a great Elder. He use to be a Zone Leader, and he is just super hard working. It was great. We found this awesome family, and they came to church yesterday! Friday when I came back was full of member presents! We had some great lesson, and the ward was awesome members with us. Now on to the best day on the week. Sunday!! Yesterday was so sweet! We had a great PEC where we talked about more ward activites to get more non members to our building! Church started, and we had 4 Less actives there that haven't ever came to church! We have been working with them for a long time!!!!! So that was awesome, and we DON there which was great. Super great talks about Honoring your parents, and returned missionary talked on the atonement and how the mission changed him. It was great. I cried. Also we had our new ward mission leader talk about missionary work. Truly a great church service. We are so blessed! Rest of Sunday was great, and during our 8:30 appointment we received a text from Don asking if he can be baptized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS GREAT! Than as we total up the numbers we saw that we had 92 member presents! Which is a Franklin Zone record!!!!!!!!!!! It was great! I feel as Ammon does in Alma 26:16  "Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel." Last week was great. Life is great. I love my mission so much. Elder Jaros

Frogs Everywhere

More Frogs

Coldness

Snow day again!
Hey YA'LL!

We had another wonderful week here in Tennessee! The weather was up and down, but besides that everything else was great. On Monday night we knocked into a new investigator. His name is Steve. I knocked and did my normal door approach, and he said I'll let ya'll in to share a 5 minute message, but he ended up talked to us for like 45 like every one in the south do! It was great though. We went back on Thursday, and he had read the pamphlet and everything! So that was exciting! Also I went up to Dickson again on exchanges! It was a good trip. There was so many frogs up there it was unreal! Like 100's on the road and such! It was kind of cool! Wednesday was the best probably because of the temple. It was the final time of going to the temple as a missionary in and area. I will get to go on my final day in TN as well, but this one was kind of the end which wasn't fun to think about. The spirit was super strong. It was great to feel the presence of the lord so strong in there. Rest of the week was full of great lesson. We had 5 Member Presents back to back on Friday. It was wonderful. On Saturday we met with Don! He cancelled for the 14th because his family didn't get back to him fast enough. So he didn't want to pay for expense fight tickets. He came to church yesterday as well which was great. Always good to have our buddy Don with us! Life is good!  Hope all is well with Ya'll! Love ya Elder Jaros

Jesus Flowers for our friend who son died

The finest of Franklin haha
Time is flying bye! Oh my.. Well last week was good! Weather was pretty normal besides the 3" of snow Wednesday night! The week wasn't full of member presents lesson like we were hoping for, but it went well. We were able to meet with our Spanish investigator Juan on Monday again. It went well. It is so cool how the spirit real helps me understand 3/4 of the lesson. I can't speak Spanish at all really, but the spirit has been helping me understand what my comp and the members are teaching to the investigator it was awesome. Juan sadly didn't make it to church, but we are planning on meeting with him tonight. On Tuesday we received a call from a former investigator saying he want to meet up again! It was great! I love when people call us for a change! That never happens. We taught him on Wednesday afternoon, and it went good, but he lives in the sister's ward. So we will have to give him up! We had two good lessons with Don! It was great. He didn't make it to church because he fell on the ice and broke two ribs. He's been super sore and such. We went over and talked about prophets one night then the next lesson he gave us a tour of the factory he works for. It's a huge factory! Pretty cool to see what's behind everything we have, but I could never work at a factory.. No sunlight, and always another deadline to hit. We met with Kerry and a great member from the other stake who is friends with Kerry. Kerry is a great guy! Still hasn't made it to church but hopefully soon! We also had training from a 70 and a brother from the missionary department. It was a great meeting. We talked a lot about covenants and life long service in the church. We also got the new training on ipads which is pretty cool. The ipad training now starts at home, and it will go home with the missionary. The point of the new training is  to know how to use the internet for the rest of your life. We are going to learn how to use FaceBook better, and so that when we go home we won't be addictive to social media like we we're when we left, and we all know I was pretty addictive to all that stuff before the mission. It was great. Also now as missionaries we will be making life plans to help us when we get home. Really great program. The church is great. Life has been but great. This week we get to go to the temple! I'm way excited. It's final temple trip as a missionary. Which is strange. Time is running short, and I really don't want to miss anything. The mission is great. I love this place. I know that there is no other place  I should or need to be than Tennessee at this time! Thanks for everything. Love ya Ty
