Yes that a pit bull on this homies roof...
May is almost gone! This week we we're blessed again! Just such a great week again! We had lots of success!! We still have been knocking doors, but not as much! Because we've had lots of return appointment to follow up on! This week we found 11 new investigators which was sweet! There was a few days we knocked only one door, and we would find people that were just prepared by the lord. On Tuesday we knocked into this man name Deetree! He was super smart with his bible knowledge, and he loved the message of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! It was a great lesson. We focused the lesson on eternal families because we saw that his car had a sticker talking about his mother who died. He was really emotional about it all. When we got to Joseph Smith we started to talk about James 1:5 scripture and he quoted it to us! Which was sweet. We don't see that a lot. We have another lesson with him tomorrow! I'm stoked for that. We also had some success finding some less actives! One of them families is a part member family who has lots of potential! I could see some of the, being baptized real soon! On Saturday we had a crazy day. We had to bike all day, and we had lots of set appointments. We had one with this lady named Wendy. She was awesome. She's had a rough life, but it was so cool to see how as we taught the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to meet her needs the spirit was so strong. She noticed it as well. It was a great experience. We than had an awesome stake conference! It was so great. There were two talks Saturday night that were awesome. One was from this recent convert about how not delaying spiritual progress. He is a YSA concert 20 like me. Going to Vandy, and he just talked about how he knew that the Book of Mormon would change his life, because he saw it change his friend so finally after a night in jail he realized it all. It was so awesome. Such a great testimony! Then there was a sister who talked about embracing our imperfections as we share the gospel. It was so great. She talked about how as Latter Day Saints we are always striving to be perfect, but as we show that we are human and we have short comings it helps investigators see how they can fit in and how they can keep trying. It was so great. It helped me to realize again and again that I can't be a robot as I teach I have to be me! Show my personality and my life story. It was just great reminder. Life is great! Jesus is great. With his help everything is possible.  Love ya Ty

Home Sweet Home
Railroads everywhere in East Nashville

Cumberland River

Tennessee Titans Stadium - Go Titans
Time is just flying by.. Another week gone! It's unreal! We this last week was great! Not even like we white washed! We we're busy! Oh my! We taught 27 lessons which was great! It was just awesome! We had some big miracles as the week came along. On Monday night we received a call about this sister who was in hospital. She is a recent convert, and she needed a blessing so the next day we called up the branch president and he drove us on down to the hospital, and we gave her the blessing. The lady was so awesome! We went over to her house on Friday night as well. She has a 17 year old grandson who lives with her who is a big country music fan which is kind of rare for East Nashville. He's not a member, but he loves the Book of Mormon so hopefully we can get him out to church and baptize him! They couldn't come to church on Sunday, but I just have such a good feeling about this family! Than on Friday night we received another call for another referral. This referral name was Terry. So the next day we bike on out to his house, and had a great lesson. It was sweet to get two big miracles of referrals who are just awesome. We did a ton of biking last week... I'm so sore! On Saturday we bike 20 miles... Ha it was unreal, but about 7 on Saturday night we're knocking doors, and we met this awesome family! Let us in and gave us water plus they let us teach one of the best Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ lessons on my mission! They just caught the apostasy sooooooo well! It was awesome! They are moving to another section of our area so they are busy right now, but we have an appointment for a few weeks. I'm stoked for them as well. This area is full of soooo much potential it's unreal. We also had a great zone conference on Friday lots of things learned. Nice just being able to set back and learn! The mission is great! So many miracles! I came across this awesome quote this week from Elder Hollands talk "Remember Lots Wife" the quote say: " God doesn't care nearly as much about where you have been as He does about where you are and, and with His help, where you are willing to go." I loved that. So true! Probably the coolest thing of a mission is watching people turn the page over and start to change and become a better person! Life is great! The church is true! Love ya Elder Jaros

Another week gone just like that?? Crazy! Oh this last week was
unreal! We had such a great week for a white wash I would have to say!
It was a busy week! So I spend my final night in Franklin.. Which was
hard! I went and said good bye to my favorite people, and it was kind
of emotional leaving that place which was strange, but I loved
Franklin! Tuesday the real adventure begin! I received my new comp
Elder Polson! He's from North Dakota last, but he grew up in Florida.
He is 21 and is a go getter so it should be good! We also learned that
we we're going to the Cumberland Branch area! Which is 5 minutes from
Downtown Nashville, and it's in East Nashville!! It's a very humble
area compared to Franklin it was sort of a culture shock! Ha but it's
been great! We have found lots of investigators, and we have lots of
referrals to contact. We met with the branch president, and he is just
excited to see new faces! The branch is small only like  80 active
members and 2 major families are moving out... So it's time to find a
family and baptize them! We met a bunch of people who right by the
church out on there porches doing the southern thing, and we found one
solid girl name Brook who we taught twice last week. Once with a
member, and was a huge miracle. It's strange white washing with both
of us not knowing where we are at, but it's been great. This area is
going to be a growing area for sure. I can tell you for sure that I'm
out of my comfort zone, but it's great! I'm just grateful to be
serving the lord. A big life lesson I've learned that it's easier to
just put a smile on my face and go to work, and enjoy it! I'm so
grateful for all of you. It was so great to talk to you all
yesterday!!! I'm so grateful for all of my family and friends, and
with out ya'll this would be sooo hard! Life is great! Pray we can
find a family! Love ya Elder Jaros

So this is faith hill car.... She came out of drive way as we were
going past. It's really is her I promise!

Welllllllll I got the news.... I'm leaving Franklin sadly! It's been 7 wonderful months. I figured it was coming, but didn't know for sure! I'm leaving to who know where... They don't tell us any more. I do know I will be training a new missionary, and being a DL! and since I'm training that means I will be white washing an area for the first time in my mission! I'm excited and nervous. It will be great. I love it here in Franklin thought sad to go. This area has changed completely sense I first came here. We are having so much success here now! The zone has hit it's monthly goal every month thus far this year, and we've already had 22 baptism thus far this year! It's been amazing to see the zone change, and not be the worst zone in the mission any more! It's been one of the biggest blessings of my mission to be serving here in Franklin. I love this place. The last week here was great. We went out and worked. Saw success! The spanish investagators in this area is amazing we had no one at first, but now we have 4 solid investigators, and one came to church and one came to an baptism Saturday morning. It's truly been awesome to see that teaching pool grow. We had some great lesson with Don this week. Teaching the new member lessons. They have been fun to teach. Also we we're to go on one of the best drives in the mission across the Natchez Trace. It was so beautiful! It now truly the last inning of the game. I'm so stoked to finish the mission hard. I can't believe I'm to this point! It's unreal, and it's been so great! I know it can only get greater. I came across a new favorite scripture that is so awesome. My goal for these next 12 weeks is to be more christ like. Here is the scripture!
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
Life great! TN is great. I'm so thankful for my mission. Love ya'll Ty
